ABOUT GREATER ATHLETE

Rehab and Training for Greatness

We started Greater Athlete to guide people beyond pain and to their desired physical goals. Traditional healthcare stops once you've reached your "Prior Level Of Function". We believe this is a huge mistake and that we can be the bridge between where you are and where you want to be physically

At the heart of Greater Athlete, we are here to serve others and be a resource to our community. We aim to curb the thought that "feeling old" is unavoidable, and to keep people doing the activities they love.

Ultimately, life experiences are precious and when you are dealing with pain you either don't enjoy experiences or avoid them all together. Our 1 hour 1:1 sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy ensure the highest quality of care and aim to save you time in the long run.

Let's get started moving forward today!

ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Dr. Anthunee Galvan

Anthunee is a homegrown Coloradan who has a deep love for sports and staying active. The first thing he will likely talk to you about is his wife, Mikaela, their baby girl Adelynn Grace, and their two dogs Wyatt and Winnie. He values faith, family, hard work and serving others. Growing up, his main sports were football, basketball, and lacrosse. In college, he picked up volleyball and was a setter for the men’s club team. His biggest passion is helping others to continue to stay active in the sports they love.

Dr. Galvan received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Recreation from Colorado State University - Pueblo. From there he went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado at Anschutz Medical Campus. He has expertise in sports injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and performance training.

"My journey to becoming a Physical Therapist started like most do, after an injury. I played three sports throughout high school and never missed a game; when I got injured in college, I was unable to use sports as an outlet for stress and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. At that point I realized I wanted to help people get back to sports they love, like my physical therapist did for me.”
